It sat on beds, moved into college dorms, appeared in apartment photos and became part of spaces people still remember years later. That connection is why the smiling cloud never truly disappeared from people’s minds.

From everyday pillow to unforgettable favorite.
Between 2013 and 2016, MY-KU-MO quietly became part of thousands of bedrooms, apartments, dorm rooms and collections. Years later, people were still searching for it because it meant something to them.
The smiling cloud arrives
MY-KU-MO found its way into bedrooms, college spaces, apartments and growing pillow collections.
It became part of the room
The simple smile and soft cloud shape made it more than decor. It became part of the spaces people felt most comfortable in.
People still remembered
Old photos, online discussions and resale searches showed that the connection had never really gone away.
A new chapter begins
The familiar smile returns with softer materials, a washable cover, added loft and improved construction.
We were looking for it, too
We were fans before we became caretakers.
We searched online, read old discussions, browsed resale listings and saw people asking the same question: “Where can I find MY-KU-MO?”
Thousands of people remembered the smiling cloud. Some still had theirs. Some were trying to replace one they had lost. Others were simply hoping that MY-KU-MO would one day return.
The more we looked, the clearer it became that MY-KU-MO still had a community—and that its story did not feel finished.
Bringing MY-KU-MO back
Not as something different. As MY-KU-MO.
When the opportunity came to acquire the MY-KU-MO trademark, we knew we wanted to bring it back—not as a look-alike, not as a completely different interpretation, but as the official continuation of the smiling cloud people remembered.
The goal was to preserve its personality while making thoughtful improvements to how it feels, how it is cared for and how it holds up in everyday life.

The question behind every redesign decision
Listening before redesigning
The community helped shape MY-KU-MO 2.0.
We listened to what people loved about the original and what they wished could be improved.
That feedback led to a removable washable cover, softer materials, a slightly fuller cloud, improved construction and refined embroidery while preserving the familiar smile.
A hidden zipper allows the exterior Cloud Case to be removed for easier everyday care.
Premium bamboo-viscose fabric creates a smoother, stretchier and softer exterior.
Added loft creates a more substantial shape while keeping the intentionally soft, relaxed feel.
The familiar expression is stitched rather than printed for improved durability.
Introducing MY-KU-MO 2.0
What people loved, thoughtfully improved.
Every redesign decision was made to preserve the character of the original while improving the ownership experience.
MY-KU-MO 2.0 combines premium 95% viscose from bamboo and 5% spandex fabric, OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified polyester fill, additional loft, updated embroidery and improved six-sided construction.
The result is a nostalgic smiley cloud pillow that still feels familiar but is softer, easier to refresh and better suited to bedrooms, college dorms, reading corners and everyday comfort.
